I am in my third year of Bachelor studies in biomedical engineering at `Regensburg University of Applied Sciences` and decided to come to Maoz lab for 6 months of internship. Biomedical engineering is fascinating to me, because it combines multiple disciplines in medicine, biology, engineering etc.
The field of tissue engineering and furthermore the specific research area of organs-on-a-chip really excite me. Also, I was promised to carry a lot of boxes, which as one of my most desired wishes finally became true.
The main project I am working on is the heart-on-a-chip.
After leaving Ben's lab, I will go back to Germany and finish my degree there.
In my spare time I like to go bouldering, top roping or lead climbing in and around Tel Aviv.
